A recent survey of 1,000 global respondents uncovered the hottest rooftop bars worldwide — bars you should check out the next time you find yourself in one of these cities.
Sky City Online Casino surveyed respondents to discover which beautiful rooftop views from bars people liked the most. To create their rankings, they looked for high-scoring consistency and tallied all responses rated 8, 9, or 10 to determine these top 10 rooftop bar views.
The results might surprise you!
1. The Roof at Edition, Hollywood, Los Angeles

The Roof at EDITION earned the title of the best rooftop bar in the world, with nearly 76% of visitors rating the views an eight or higher for how happy they made them. With a swimming pool surrounded by trees and terracotta potted plants, guests can relax in the sun all day and enjoy Latin-inspired drinks while taking in the stunning views of Sunset Boulevard at night.
Women particularly favored The Roof, with almost 83% rating it an eight or above on the happiness scale. The Gen Z crowd was equally impressed, with 75% giving it a perfect 10.
Not only is it the top rooftop bar in LA, but it also ranks as the best globally.
2. Panoramic Terrace at Hotel Colon, Barcelona

The Panoramic Terrace at the Hotel Colon ranks second for the best rooftop view, with over 75% of respondents rating it an eight or higher for how happy the views made them. This rating is no surprise, as many consider it the best rooftop bar in Barcelona.
The Panoramic Terrace offers a historic and unforgettable view overlooking the famous and intricately crafted Sagrada Família, which has been under construction for 142 years. Visitors to this bar can admire this iconic landmark while enjoying traditional cuisine made with local produce and paired with regional wines.
3. Scarlett Rooftop Wine Bar, Bangkok

Scarlett Rooftop Wine Bar ranks third, with 73% of people rating it an eight or higher on the happiness scale. Located on the 37th floor, Scarlett features a spacious indoor area with both community and private tables, lounge sofas, and a 120-square-foot outdoor terrace.
Bar stools on the terrace offer front-and-center views of the Bangkok skyline. While it may not have claimed the top spot globally, Scarlett stands out as the best rooftop bar in Asia.
Who Else Was Mentioned? Rooftop Bars in Dublin, Sydney and Humble South Carolina

Notable mentions among the top 20 rooftop bars include the Gravity Bar at the Guinness Storehouse. Positioned 150 feet (or 300 pints of Guinness) above street level, it’s designed to resemble the head of a pint glass towering over the iconic St. James’s Gate. Gravity Bar offers 360-degree views of Dublin, stretching from the Dublin mountains to Howth Head.
Australian cities Melbourne and Sydney also made the list, with just under 50% of respondents finding joy at Naked In The Sky (Melbourne) and Glenmore Hotel (Sydney). Naked In The Sky offers panoramic views of Melbourne City, while Glenmore Hotel overlooks the Sydney Opera House, making it easy to see why these spots are favorites.
The study revealed that half of the rooftop images shown featured a sunset, indicating that the beloved “golden hour” has a positive impact on our happiness.
Unfortunately, South Carolina’s entry didn’t fare as well. Red’s Ice House in Charleston, a self-described “no-frills joint” with ample patio space overlooking the water, was rated eight or higher by only 15% of respondents, placing it last.
